I was born in 1947 in the house on the hill behind the garage.Was meant to be delivered in Ross but it had rained fo a week and the road was closed by flooding near Blacks farm north of the Wanganui bridge.Dad was mechanic/driver after the war.Some of those trucks were still in the fleet but a few GMC's had been added.
