DescriptionBack to the West Coast after many years. This was gifted to my late sister Trisha by Dusty Rhodes back in the 70’s. Trisha was a Nurse at Greymouth and sadly passed away young in the early 90’s. Now this painting is at Te Kinga. Not sure what lake though.Map^[1]ContributorMichael Norton

Used to sit and watch Dusty paint in the 50’s when I was a child. He used to stay at a Bach just next door to us at Golden Sands. I remember him in his black beret and pipe hanging from his mouth…very infrequently unlit. I was always intrigued at the speed in which his paintings took shape…..very fond memories

If it is Te Kinga then it is Lake Brunner but those mountains at the back don't seem correct.

Rob Uddstrom My father always pointed this out to me as a Dusty Rhodes painting on your parent’s wall. I suspect like your parents he liked it very much - but of course would not like to be told it was a Dusty ‘representation’ and not a particular place.
