We were not sad to see the last of the coal on the steam engines as a bunker of Wallsend coal meant hard work for the Fireman.

Richard Butcher interesting as a lifelong resident of Dobson I am aware unless of course corrected that Dobson was good steaming coal I just surmised that the close neighbour Wallsend would have been the same
