There are 3 railway bridges with undulating sides like this one, on the Midland line, all between Otira and Arthurs Pass. The first, when traveling out of the Otira station, is over Goat Creek- this is just outside of the Otira station yard, and the climb from the Otira station up to the bridge is the steepest part of the Midland line.
The next (the one shown here in the pic) is across the Rolleston river, just as the track is about to enter the Otira tunnel. The tunnel mouth is to the right of the pic, out of the shot.
The third is at the Arthurs Pass end of the tunnel, crossing the Bealey River (I may have the river name wrong). The bridge is the highest point on the Midland line.Map^[1]ContributorWendy Powell

That is the rail bridge at the western portal of the Otira tunnel. Both abutment piers are hardwood timber piles while the other ones in the river are made of concrete.
When the bridge was refurbished nearly 20 years , a new span was constructed and swapped with an original one, when the refurbishment was completed there was a spare original span, this was refurbished and used on the Landing Creek bridge near Inangahua, when it was replaced

This is perhaps the earliest Otira tunnel photo, perhaps even pre-tunnel, for the bridge contract was let before the Otira tunnel contract. I think Dispatch Foundry made the beams.
