DescriptionI Have seen the Odd Snow shot of Arthurs Pass in here. Thought I would add one of mine. Taken in September in the 1980's. Remember the night before Both Passes and the Rail were closed.
Was Travelling from Runanga to Christchurch for a Telecom training Course and timed my trip to catch the 11.00 am opening of Arthurs Pass Road. My first Experience with Snow Blindness, having no Sun Glasses the suns glare off the snow left my eyes streaming and hard to keep open.Date of Photo1980`sMap^[1]ContributorWayne Smith
