I remember that slip I think it was a week before the August school holidays.I think the area,was known as Poodles puddle. It took out most of the motel drive.
I was looking after my sick father in Nelson Creek at the time. To get him to hospital I had to cross over at Stillwater to get to Greymouth Hospital
