Trish Rennie yes I remember it being up there. Was an empty building for years when I was going to school. Then was used to store wrecked cars and the Bun hat burger bar was in the front before it went up along from Merv,s. I think it was pulled down before the Convent next door.

Mum and Dad bought the Fish and Chip shop next to Mawhera Meat from Ferons in about 1967 I can remember like yesterday my brother and I carrying the big tubs of fat from the butcher shop between us,and Mr Glen at the Milk Bar on the Corner
