It's that time of the year again and at Christmas 1953, 70 years ago, my mother made her way, with her two youngest boys, to the Kotuku Railway Station and boarded the steam train for Greymouth, where she would stock up on necessities and do a little Christmas shopping. A visit to Harley's was on the top of the list and this photo features myself on the right and my younger brother, Errol, with Father Christmas. 1953 was the Queen's Coronation year and we are both supporting Coronation Badges to remember it by.Date of Photo1953Map^[1]ContributorGeoffrey Bell
