Worked with him on backshift when he came to Strongman after Dobson closed. We got on good.
John Tainui
His Son Boyd was one of the best players I’ve ever played with absolute legend got all his footy talent of his dad for sure, great photo
Murray Saunders
John Tainui I played with Boyd (killer) in the lower grades at Cobden Kohinoor. Watched him play in the back line for South Island at Wignham park. Could have been centre or 2nd 5? Had the amazing ability to ghost past opponent. His side kick Neil (triwsty) Twist and Trevor Allen same same 6th and 4th grade teams.
