Dianne Broome no he was about 5 years older than me but,I think that he was in the senior West Coast team that day. I remember talking to him under the stand after my game. He was only about 18 when he represented the West Coast.

Jack N Pat Manderson Rex was a brilliant player...some of the older team members gave him a hard time...it was so sad when a chill turned into TB before trialing for NZ

Dianne Broome yes , I knew Rex and Judith had a daughter Dianne. Rex and I were childhood sweethearts for many years. His mother was one of the loveliest people I have ever known. Where do you live Dianne?

Jean Wells Rex,s brother Jack and Johnny Baxter all travelled up from Hokitika to play for Cobden Kohinoor each week. Alex Broome their father was a keen fan for league ,having played for Runanga seniors when living there.

Jack N Pat Manderson I was in the car with the Broomes each Sunday to watch the league., mainly in Runanga.....Your Aunt Myrtle was a lovely woman. We would have early tea with the Moores then return home. Both Jack n Rex have gone, how about Helen?
