Gosh they were terrible reports, especially when you were noted what number you came in the class.

I've got a couple of them for 1947/48.

It's interesting how people say there was No NZ History at schools.
It was a component of School Cert History.

It was a wide curriculum until Form 5, when you chose subjects for School Cert. Metalwork, Woodwork, nek minit French, improv Drama, Commercial Practice,
I assume this was the case in all State Secondary. Tech, however, started as truly Technical.
