Known as Tim White. Born in 1921 he was a life long resident of coal mining township Waiuta on the West Coast of New Zealand. From the 1986 town reunion he was known locally of the 'Mayor of Waiuta'. Worked as packer, butcher boy, businessman, motelier, honorary forest ranger, and policeman. Served in the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force during World War Two, service number WWII 402933.
