DescriptionNot sure where this house was in Runanga..caption on back says..'Runanga 1949 North Corner' ..but it looks earlier than that guaging from the cleared rain forest and no houses..but I could be wrong?

wondering if thats the Teasdale house in the background on the hill?... with the house in the foreground on Hall Jones St, Cromarty St corner? that would be in the "north corner" area.

Eric Martini yea thought same about Teasys on the hill, but the other? Yea you mite be onto it

Grant Jamieson hard to tell with the trees on the top of the hill... but 12 Apostles wouldn't be as prominent from this angle. Also in the original photo is that the 12 Apostles in the backround top left corner? hard to see in the B/W photo and low resolution...

In the 1939 aerial photo, most of Runanga was already well populated with houses.... this area was still relatively sparse...

There's a 1947 aerial photo of Runanga taken by VC Browne, but the photo was taken from above Dunollie looking back at Runanga, so this area is missing...shame. Might have given some more info.
