I worked on the dredge as a Fitter and Turner when it was opperating behind the Kumara township which i think was 1982 - 83

Did they float or have some sort of legs that held them up . They are a huge bit of gear

Jason Garland They floated on pontoons. Dredged up the ground in front, processed it and the tailings were fanned out behind .Large tailing pile behind the photo of my wife and children in front of buckets.
