I assume the bridesmaid is my Aunty Pearl who marriage Joe James from Gladstone and they two daughters. Lois who married Gordon Robinson. Ellen married a Gordon Richard Roberts. Did not know who is the flower girl or the best man's name. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks.

The bride was a good family friend of ours. We called her Auntie Myrtle, her brother Peter married my mother’s sister who was Maud Hopgood and the flower girl could be their daughter Alice.
I knew Joe and Pearl James and Ellen and Lois who was a similar age to me and their brother was John, I think.

Doris Blanchard Hi, Doris thank you for the information as nothing was written on the back of the photo. My Dad lived with Aunty Pearl and Uncle Joe for a time. Uncle Joe taught Dad the out door skills and how to fix things. Meet Aunty Ellen and Lois over the years when growing up.

Joy Greenlees Hi Joy, I remember your father and Flora/Anne but didn’t know him as well as I knew Flora. I have a photo of him taken when talking to my late brother at my cousin Alice’s birthday celebration, could have been her 80th. I remember Joe James taking a trip to Siam, it was called Siam then, when I was a child and hearing about the things which he brought back.

John is married to my sister Maureen. We lived across from you in Shakespeare st Doris.

Joy Greenlees I used to work with Gordon Robinson at RA Garlicks some 50 years ago….Lois and Gordon are a lovely couple……a really nice family….think their children’s name were Jane and Ian?

Thanks Trish for the information. I was told that Lois and Ellen lived in Nelson by my late mother.

Joy Greenlees Yes they did Joy. Visited them both a few years ago to try and find more info for my family tree. Really lovely family. Myrtle was my god mother.

Joy Greenlees Hi Joy the bridesmaid is Miss Fletcher from Wanganui, the flower girl is Alice Stephenson and the best man is William Cogswell. They married on the 27th January 1927 in the Holy Trinity Church
