Children of Mary Anne & Joseph listed as: Annie 1864 (or 66), Hannah 1865, Joseph 1868, Jane 1871, Margaret 1873 all born Hokitika. Annie's first child (adopted out to Darbysons) became our Grandmother . Records show Mary Anne drowned 1887 as she fell into deep drain - unformed portion of road) at Rolleston St. Joseph took up caretaker position District High School.

Great Great Grandparents.... so Joseph a ship wright was from Whitby & Mary Anne from Kings County (which is also why I have irish ancestory along with old time England, Welsh, Scottish and even some Norway)..they lived in Rolleston St (which likely was just a road with a deep drain & Mary Ann drowned... before that though their daughter gave birth to our Grandmother Jane - who was adopted to Darbysons.
