I think I stayed there in about 1977 with the Army. If it was there, this was our accommodation for a couple of nights as were were using a nearby barren area for live firing of various weapons. I was responsible for the 2" Mortar and giving young soldiers the experience of firing a few rounds. I went looking for this hotel about 2 years ago on a visit to the area, but couldn't find it as I gather it has long gone.

I remember that, some old cars were flown in for target practice,, years later when asked how they got there , they were told we pinched them and drove them in,

I was in there in the 70s but prob not of the correct drinking age.
The publican had to go down the trap door in the floor to get to the celler.
His name was Wally
