Russell Ferguson I remember that dreadful day too. Gordon was friends with my older siblings. I regularly babysat for Jack and Pat when they lived in Jollie Street. I hope hope you are successful in finding some photographs.

We drove past that accident a while after it had happened on the way to Fox, just kids but have fairly vivid memories. Three leaving Harihari north bound including Gordon and four coming south into the town.

LincolnandTrudi Baty hi, actually yes I have got a photo. Yes I remember Gordon Ferguson and his wife Jill and their sons! This is Mum & Dad’s (Gordon Elley) wedding where Gordon Ferguson was their best man. He was Dad’s best friend, tragic when he was killed.

Gordon boarded with us at the Central Hotel in Hokitika for many years. When I was in high school I used to get his evening meal for him as he used to leave for work in the dark and get home in the dark. He treated me like a little sister and was such a hard worker. Lovely photo of him at the wedding. His older brothers Ron and Mac also boarded with us before they married.
