Countess built by Mr McFarlane for port of Hokitika, then passed ownership to George Wood.The Ross family had Countess at Lake Kaniere until 1972 when the boatsheds taken away it was stored at Bill Ross place Arthurstown. 2000 passed to Ash Barker who gifted it to Hokitika Museum. was kept in his shed by the boat ramp at Hans Bay for years and very seldom went on the lake, Baz.
