Archie was a gentle man always well dressed when he caught the miners bus from Stockton to go down the hill for a dram and a bet, His little house is still there by the Stockton Mine gate. His little house was the old Docters surgery and when the Stockton town ship closed Archie brought it to make it his home until he passed. It then became the sign in place for the mine and now it stands empty and I might add it is starting to deteriate.
