Did you ever watch a R22 fly fadges from swamp to back of a truck? Poetry in motion, I had the thought back then that there should be a competition for pilots at the Greymouth Show, but OSH would have banned it lol.. Pity that there were no cameras on phones in those days, in fact there were no phones, because it had to be seen to be believed. Those pilots gave value for money especially as they were probably charging by the minute

The Blackball Community Center held the Moss Pickers Ball in Blackball. Named Moss Pickers because of the amount of pickers in Blackball at that time. Brilliant night was had by all as well as money being raised for the Community Center
