I remember Ray bloody good bloke spoke always down to earth he worked at Strongman always had a good laugh.

Aileen Thornley Bill Cummings and him used to chat about horses Bill had a few horses he ended up with a good one I think he sold to America not sure my mate has a good trotter called Paramont Kiwi it's had four starts for three win and a third it could be running at Cambridge next week. Did Ray have any luck with his horses?

Priscilla-Chang Newton I remember Bill well , loved going to the races at Victoria Park to see him drive, we went to Bill and Faye’s place at Kumara a lot too. He had one mare that I loved called Bobby’s Girl
The mare Dad is driving in the photo Milne Bay produced a cup class foal called Michelle Bromac but dad had Milne Bay leased that year but dad was just as proud and a good one for himself just before he died

Priscilla-Chang Newton Same here Chang ,the last year I was at strongman I was on the afternoon shift with Ray ,we went to work from Kaiata in a van ,I was living at Dobson at that time and Ray at Kaiata

Priscilla-Chang Newton dad was made on horses. The horse in the picture was Milan Bay. I have many fun memories of time spent at the old Victoria Park and some of the people who trained horses there
