We lived in a hill and i used it as a teenager to mow the lawn. When i moved on the flat in Christchurch i had one there. Did a great job.

When I was first married 64 years ago we had a mower like this before progressing to a reel motor mower that was driven by a belt and drove the the adgitator washing machine too

Yep, Nana's dreaded 1/4 acre when we were kids , Papanui CHCH, if you were naughty you went to stay for the weekend and had to mow her section with a push mower, i stayed lots of weekends lol but it really built you up for rugby training, infact i got so good at it i did her neighbours as well and made good money!

Yep still in the gardening industry they refer to it as a REAL mower.........B4 finding that out I always thought it was called a push-mower?...........just reminds me of the "fly-mow" hahaha no wheels but it glides around...good for hills but I guess people buy them like Roller blades now

Yeah... They're great for slicing through the extension chord that your old man has run from the house to the shed... My mate did that once. The old mower lit up in a shower of sparks. He didn't get hurt at all luckily... apart from the clip round the ear from his old man of course.
