DescriptionHari Hari 1966 or 67. In the Hari Hari hall a ball was held. It was men dressed as brides along with partners. An hilarious night I remember. The winner, name forgotten, was the bride, tall, had a black and the white dress had red flashing lights on the bust.

My parents often attended the Balls held at the Hari Hari Hotel. Nancy and Joe Martini were life long friends of theirs. I recall ( and still have) their Lions badges of which were an integral part of many of those formal evenings I think?? Marcia Martini

That’d be a lot of good, genuine FUN!! I remember my parents/family enjoying & still laugh about the “Vice Versa” dance occasion held in The Okuru hall in Haast … going to the men’s toilet dressed as a lady sure did cause a big stir amongst the locals
