Description They had four children during their marriage.
On 18 August 1919, Clement set off in his big coach driven by four horses to deliver Taylorville Cordials to Ngahere, Blackball and Roa. On the way home, because it was raining Clement was covered up with his oilskin raincoat and horse covers. When he put his foot on the brake to turn a corner, his coat became tangled in the wheels and he was pulled under the coach. He died immediately. He had been very involved with community affairs and was a member of the Brunner Brass Band. A special train brought mourners from Blackball to Greymouth and it was reported at the time as Greymouth's largest ever funeral.

Clement Peillon was one of the owners of Robinsons Cordials:
"In 1898 Thomas married Rose Peillon, a woman who had lost her husband in the Brunner Mine Disaster of 1896. Around that time the Robinson Bros partnership of Taylorville was dissolved, and the factory was taken over by Rose Peillon's two sons, Clem and Paul. Paul sold out to Clem in 1915, and Clem carried on until he died in a cart and horse accident in 1919."
