I think this was up Hou Hou Creek near the former second Blue Spur township not down towards the Coast. (In the valley of Hou Hou Creek north and west of where the current Blue Spur Road hits the area known as Blue Spur when driving from Hokitika toward the Arahura valley)

Think it was in Brennans Creek, or ended up there, I recovered the steam engine crankshaft from the bank next to the road that goes up the Blue Spur. That's at the heritage park now.
