Could be Church of the Resurection in Cobden, minister could be Tom Hill or David Gribble.

I moved to Cobden with my parents late 1971,and I think from memory Dad was Vicar after David Gribble. The bloke in the photo is not David.

Elizabeth Ann Beech I think you are right, I never thought Cobden but the Baldwins did live in Cobden for a few years

Aileen Thornley ,my dad was Peter Swears,and I recognise the house opposite as Stephen and Pam Honey's place, lived there when we did., though don't know when they moved there.

I’m fairly sure that it is Tom Hill / I was very young when he was our vicar but I instantly thought it was him. Our family had several picnics with their family while they were in charge of the Cobden- Runanga Anglican parish, and one of my favourite childhood memories was playing in deep foam that appeared at Rapahoe beach, with his family. We had so much fun that we never actually swum.

Tom Hill was in Blenheim. He baptised my son in 1966. He may have been there briefly before he moved there permanently as he was vicar of St Christopher’s Anglican Church during late 60,s early 70,s.
