Perhaps in the MacLeods Road area on the north bank of the Mikonui? Anyone know where this is?

It appears to be what we called the elevator hole years later when filled with water from Jones Creek etc. The northern end off the shingle road on the way to the lime kiln became the local rubbish dump.
