Had a white stick in front of the net to see the shoals.
Went and fished in the “New”River” by Camrons and then the set net at the Teramakau River

Saw shoals there with parents 1968 . Just a continuous flow . Was 9 years old . Over from Kaiapoi to visit relatives in Arahura . August school holidays . Mum Got greenstone/pounamu off Cobden beach same day . Lovely memories .
