Just asking in that photo is that when the marawear falls were made on near Spring Junction and you drive over through the marawi then you stop off at the falls waterfalls is that the earthquake that caused the order waterfalls because there's an earthquake cause those waterfalls years ago I'm just asking I don't know I'm just asking thank you

Micheal Rodden Blackball is about 28km from Greymouth. The Maruia Falls are 141km away from Blackball. Yes, the 1929 earthquake dammed the Maruia River, which then cut a new course, washing away all the top soil, leaving all the exposed rock that you see which is the Maruia Falls.
