He was a good pal of my Dad , Robert Parson and they ran together, I think in the Harrier club. Dad was very fond of him. As a child living in Cobden I knew all about the disaster and heard often about him.

i remember so well our amazing Harry Greymouth Athlete and harrier KERRY it was great being part of our famous club with Harry Part of it and such a competitor and sadly missed along with the other 18 lost lives in 1967

Fond memories at Theresa and Harry’s house at club runs. House was along the street by Smiths bread shop. Cheerios and tomato sauce , great for budding young harriers. Also remember being in the guard of honour on the Recreation Ground as the funeral cortage passed.

Harry came to Ross in the early 50's with Jupe Scudderboom and Peter Sweitzer They worked for the Sawmill. The stayed in my parents hotel, The Empire. Harry could not speak a word of English. That's where he met Theresa who worked at the Hotel. They were married from the Hotel. Judy Robertson. (Stanbridge)
