Description A view of the main street of Wallsend, about seven miles from Greymouth, after last week's disastrous fire. Four of the township's main commercial buildings were destroyed together with a residence and a small shop soon after dawn on Wednesday morning. The inmates of the buildings were all able to escape without injury.
