Used to go there most Friday nights. Me and my flatmates would rock up with our groceries on the back of my mates ute, great times cos you would know everyone there and Johnny was a very good publican with fresh cold beer being served....beautiful drop.

I remember those days He would let some underage guys in if there bros were over 21 but not the others like me . So when I turned 21 went in ordered a beer when he put it on the bar told him to stick it where the sun don't shine and walked out . And went to kells who looked after us under ages .

Lived directly above the hotel in the 60's - one dark & stormy night we heard his nanny goat giving birth on the slope - we all braved the wet and the kids were born safely - Johnnie gave us 'Billy' who became our treasured pet - used to go mad when we came home from work - racing up and down the hill - hell of a job getting him out the house when he bolted through the door.

worked for John for like 4 years, two nights a week. Great times, we were the biggest pouring montieths bar in country. Went from 1,000 lt tanks to silly stupid 4 x 50 lt kegs.
