DescriptionOLD BILL was probably second only to the infamous Dingle as a Runanga pit pony celebrity! He lived until 47 years beginning his life as a show pony with the Pamment family of Kumara and after working as a pit pony in Reefton finished his mining days at several private mines in the Runanga area including Moody Creek and Bellevue.

He was adopted by the Harringtons of the Rapahoe Hotel where he would often walk through the door into the bar.
