The Tramway Tavern was a great pub & place for all of the locals from the surrounding areas of Paroa, Camerons, Kumara & the Junction to catch up with each other on a regular basis...& to have lots of fun!!! Great place

Candice Robinson
Spent many times as a young kid with Granny and grandad (Noleen and Lyn Robinson) sitting at the bar with my raspberry and coke. Bar filled with cigarette smoke, was allowed to put 20 cents in the one arm bandits and was it 50cents in the machine the popped out little cards and you peeled the stickers back to reveal fruit?

My grandad Des York and his partner Norma Grenfell had the pub for a short time around the mid-60's, used to go there with mum, dad & Sheree...awesome place

I remember it well, my father (Max) had his own special spot, at the end of the bar with his back against the wall…drank there with sometimes, but most of time my mother or I would drop him off and pick him up again…I also remember walking through doing pub checks when I was cop then…the place was standing room only sometimes but there never seemed to be any trouble…
