Mary O’Connor is on the left and myself, Margaret A’Court on the right. The date is wrong, this would have been 1960 or 1961. It was always fun to join Santa and give out the gifts on Christmas morning, I loved visiting McBrearty Ward the best!

I remember my Dad, Paddy Blanchfield MP, going up to the hospital to accompany Santa around the wards. We had to wait for Dad to get home to get our presents and Christmas lunch.
