DescriptionMy Grandfather (William Dykes) at the Pancake Rocks, Punakaiki. Between 1928 and April 1935.
Grandad inspected machinery and boilers all around New Zealand for the Public Works Dept. and the photo will have been taken during the latter period. I was trying to do a comparison with a recent photo

I took and while there's a point or two of reference there appears to have been some weathering of the stones in the last 90 odd years which I suppose is to be expected.
