Kevin O'Regan When I was working in Hoki the media would ring on a Sunday night for any news. Whitetail season was about due. They asked me was there any bait around. I told them I didn't know but gave them the number for The Red Lion, said ask for Rusty Snr he will know for sure and tell him I had set him up. Next time I dropped in for a cold one we had a laugh about it.

Arthur Bassgreat story I can relate to. One Sunday morning at Pioneer hotel Rusty is ruffling a punnet of whitebait. Stan Dawson and merry men do a raid. They were doing a collection for some cause and patrons had the choice ten Bob in the bucket or name in the book. Constable grabs Rusty's whitebait and says "what the he'll season not open yet"? Rusty replies clearing out Nancy's freezer for new season. Bobby puts his finger in the whitebait and shouts bull shit they still moving. Rusty checks the says " they tough little bugga's" !
