George Goodall Bell was my grandmothers cousin. He was piloting a bomber following a raid on Germany when they were diverted to another airfield due to fog. Unfortunately his aircraft collided midair with another aircraft, all crew on board of both aircraft died in the crash except for the tail gunner of the other aircraft. I’ve got a picture of him somewhere.
