DescriptionSt Patricks Church Nelson Creek it seems there were a few churches in this area many yrs ago. A church of England was built a year after this one and in Dec 1873 they wrote a pretty little structure is built on Hatters Terrace not far from the Roman Catholic church and in the vicinity of a new church about to be erected by the Wesleyan church. You can imagine the history of these church's with weddings and funerals etc.

There must of been a lot of churches in all these small gold towns as I found over in No Town 1884 the Catholic Church was calling for tenders to build a church plans to be seen at Felix Campbell Greymouth or Cliffords store No Town.
