Crow Bay
I remember Oscar Berg. He presented the Royal Humane Society medal to my father, John Devine for Rescuing Michael Scott at the Bach. Roy Wylde and Tom Teasedale served the longest. A good indication of the down to earth management of the town. We put sewerage on. Had first class drinking water. Runanga came in to the amalgamation to form the grey district in the black , no debt and brand new infrastructure. Since then we have paid rates that the council has greedily soaked up and let our infrastructure deteriorate. Twice they have been funded to do our water. Twice they have taken that money and done nothing. These men were hands on and paid very little. But they done a job that nothing has matched since for our town.
