What is the significance of the 1884 - 1914 part of the caption? Some of those buildings were built prior to 1884 so the architecture of those buildings is actually earlier.

Nana Anthea-Rose I wondered if that date should have been 1864 hence my previous comment.

The school building was last used as in 1953. I was 9, and enjoyed my Std 3 year in one of the classrooms facing out on the left.
The new school was built in front of the old one, so my Std 4 and subsequent years were in the shiny, new building a stone's throw from the old one.
