DescriptionThis photo was taken in 1946 at Kotuku on Molloy's farm. The boys who are about to take a ride on one of the farm work horses are from left to right, Barry and Duncan Surton, Kevin and Colin Bell. Our father, Colin Bell, Snr, is making sure Kevin doesn't go for a tumble. Standing at the left, supervising, is Kevin Molloy, our uncle.

At the time the Surton boys were living with their Grandmother and Step-Grandfather, in Molloy's old homestead after another house they were living in on the farm burned down. When Kevin Molloy returned home after WW2 he had nowhere to live so moved in with our family next to the farm.Map^[1]ContributorGeoffrey Bell
