DescriptionA couple of years ago, I posted a group photo of the Greymouth Chinese Mission School. This a different photo, thought to date from a couple of years later. They used several different churches for their meetings, but in 1909 a cottage on the corner of Ashton Lane/Johnston Street was utilized for their purposes.
Eventually, due to dwindling numbers in the local Chinese population, the hall was advertised for removal in 1916.
You will recognize some familiar faces that were also in the earlier photo.
