DescriptionThe Railways Board's report recommended a halt to this project, due to difficulties that impacted the construction of the Buller Railway between Westport and Inangahua Junction. Inangahua Junction was already linked by rail to Greymouth, the West Coast terminus of the railway from Christchurch.
