Ronald Russell King (Ron King), captain of the 1937 All Blacks and a member of the 1935 and 1938 touring teams to England and Australia is the second son of Mrs Marguerte Ellen King and Mr. Alexander James King, of Hokitika. He was absolutely lovely. I worked at Kings for about 3 yrs and always thought he was the gardener. That’s how unassuming he was.
