Kim Fleming interesting, my grandfather was Ernest Cameron Smith, pharmacist in ChCh, his brother was my g uncle Cameron. Don’t know when the double barrelled Surname, Cameron Smith started. My mother and her sisters were Cameron Smith but the name died with them??

Council did not pay for the cost of the new beams. Also, of the 22 million dollars it cost to build the Westland recreation centre only 1.5million was loan funded in 2009. We raised the balance from generous donors and volunteers helping . The Aquatic Centre was not built by the Grey District Council, it was built by a separate trust then handed to the council for public use.
