I have a definitive answer for you all. I have pair of these statues myself. They belonged to my Grandparents. One is "Le Industrie" and the other "Le Commerce" and they have a brass band on the base giving them this nomenclature. You one is Le Industrie. They are made of Spelter and were produced to coincide with the 1908 Paris Industrial Exhibition. I have seen many of them in Antique Shops over the years both in N.Z. and overseas. I imagine mass produced at the time, but I had them valued many years back and they were worth about $800 for the pair.Map^[1]ContributorLouise Irvine
