That must be Hokitika. I've seen a photograph of the tram at Kaneri and it was facing the other way

Another nice card Bruce ,,, Bridge in background, townships and tramline being on the North Bank, tram must be pointing upriver, so at Hokitika end.

I am guessing it is the Hokitika end because it looks like the Hokitika jetty in the background.

The bridge in the background was completed in 1906. The B.T. on the photo probably stands for Ben(no) Thiem who bought Tait's Photo Studio in 1906. Thus the card will not be earlier than 1906.
