My late husband told me .how as a small boy he would ride from. Greymouth to Barry town and as he would help the driver with deliveries on the way there would be no charge

What a grand looking lady. I did the Greymouth to Nelson run heaps but it was Newmans then & little did I know I would end up working for them in Picton years later.

We stayed at the Bach for the Christmas holidays and as a kid I remember it dropping off fresh bread it and newmans and bus were two of the the few vehicles that used the coast road on regular basis. I recall one of our pastimes was to count the cars on Westport Raceday
